Busy Regional Property Manager/Owner Company in Waukesha, WI is looking for a part-time Maintenance Technician to work under the direction of a Maintenance Supervisor. We are looking for an individual with experience in general maintenance as well as an interest and experience in specialties such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall and painting. Individual would work 20 hours/week. Schedule can be flexible if the hours are between 8AM – 5PM. Only motivated/self-starters should apply for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds.
- Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets and lighting fixtures.
- Repair, install, and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.
- Repair and maintain building exteriors, roofs, doors, windows, etc.
- Install drywall, trim, counters, appliances, etc. to vacant units on turn.
- Must be willing to work some evening, weekend, and on-call shifts as well as emergencies.
- Communicate effectively and display a professional manner when dealing with supervisors, co-workers, residents and individuals inside and outside the organization.
- Work effectively as a team member, participating actively and constructively.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner by following all Company safety procedures for the operation of equipment, machinery and hazardous substances and chemicals.
Required Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds including electrical and plumbing.
- Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
- HVAC Certification preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands of a maintenance technician described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools and recovery equipment. Manipulate cumbersome items like two stage snow blowers, carry and raise ladders, use appropriate force on counter top removal, using pry bars and sledge hammers, reach into ceilings and walls and apply force to shut off valves, remove sheetrock, etc. Individual must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
